Styled by Keri: Minimalist In All Black

This past weekend, I collaborated with Krystin for a photo shoot featuring two pieces from Rent the Runway. The first look featured a Narciso Rodriguez gown. Often times, gowns are paired with bold jewels to complete a fun and festive holiday look, but when dressing Krystin in this gown, I wanted to keep things to a minimum and not add any statement jewelry. Instead, the moto jacket served as the statement piece.

I added Christian Louboutin glitter sandals and completed the look with a Mac Cosmetics “Cyber” lipstick. The dark lipstick combined with the leather moto jacket takes this gown from feminine to edgy.

Krystin came up with the idea to shoot at a park in Washington, DC. The location served as the perfect background. I love the contrast between the black outfit and the light columns.
