Ask Keri: How To Wear A Sequin Corset This Holiday Season
Tiffany emailed me last week and asked for outfit suggestions around a sequin corset. She recently purchased one and plans on wearing it to a Christmas party this year. Can you believe it’s time to start prepping for holiday parties?!
For demonstration purposes, I selected two sequin tops for the looks below since she didn’t have a picture of the exact corset. These tops are a bit longer than the length of the corset, but the outfits will still work. The first option is to wear the sequin top with either black or white tuxedo pants. Since the top is fitted, tuxedo pants will provide a nice balance since they are not extremely tight. You can keep jewelry to a minimum since you’ll be making a statement with the top. Complete the look with a pair of black pumps (they are a wardrobe must have) and red lip for a classy but sexy look! Nothing says Christmas like the color red.

The second option is to pair the sequin top with a black full skirt or tulle skirt for a flirty look! Use silver pumps as the pop of color (on my wish list). Like the last look, avoid a statement necklace; it would clash with the sequin top. To keep the look feminine, add pearl earrings and bracelets. Seal the look with a smokey eye and nude lipstick.
